Davey Tree Surgery Co. is seeking an experienced Line Clearance Foreman/Foreperson to serve Medina and Lorain County, Ohio. This on-site role involves leading a small crew to prune and remove trees for electric utilities, with emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Requirements include a valid driver’s license, orientation and safety training on hire, and preferred CDL with endorsements or pesticide licenses. Competitive hourly pay and robust benefits accompany this permanent position.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain the Davey Tree Orientation Program upon hire.
• Completion of First Aid, CPR, and defensive driving courses on hire.
• Required: valid driver’s license.
• Preferred: CDL-Class A/B with Air Brake endorsement or willingness to obtain.
• Preferred: ISA/TCIA certifications and pesticide licenses if required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Lead a 2-5 person tree crew in pruning and removal for utilities.
• Prune treetops and remove damaged limbs safely and efficiently.
• Remove broken limbs from lines, roofs, and other objects.
• Inspect job-sites and plan tasks with proper execution.
• Maintain and operate tools/equipment (chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts) and mentor new staff.
