Job summary

MNP Corporation in Sterling Heights, MI is hiring a Line Bander Operator to support the Steel and Wire division. The role focuses on banding and tagging steel coils, with attention to quality and accurate paperwork. This position requires standing and manual tasks, and offers growth through internal training and development.

The schedule is Mon-Thurs with Fri and Sat as needed, 3:00 PM to 1:00 AM. The company emphasizes internal promotion and a strong team environment in a fastener manufacturing

Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined with good manual dexterity.
• Able to commit to perfect attendance during training.
• Able to read and follow job instructions.
• Able to complete required paperwork accurately.
• A flexible candidate who can stand, walk, bend, push, pull, lift and sit as needed.
• Excellent communication skills to convey information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Band coils for shipment.
• Perform final quality check before coils are rowed for shipment.
• Tag coils with proper identification and complete paperwork.
• Assist drivers in preparing coils for pickling.
• Participate in 5S housekeeping.
• Other duties as assigned.

About the role of Line Bander Operator: The Line Bander Operator supports MNP's Steel and Wire division by banding and tagging steel wire/rod coils. This role has technical and clerical aspects. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities of a Line Bander Operator:

• Band coils for shipment
• Performs final quality check before coils placed in row for shipment
• Tag coils with proper identification and fills out all required paperwork
• Assist Hilo drivers prepare coils for pickling
• Participate in 5S housekeeping
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
