Job summary

Schwan's in Pennsylvania is seeking a production employee for our food manufacturing team. You will unpack raw materials, mix ingredients, assemble products and package finished goods to meet quality standards.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand on concrete floors, and adapt to rotating shifts including weekends. We offer weekly Friday pay, comprehensive benefits, and an immediately vesting 401(k) with up to 4% company match.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work on concrete floors.
• Flexibility to rotate shifts including weekends and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Unpack raw materials, mix ingredients, assemble products, and package finished goods.
• Ensure products meet company and government quality standards.
• Inspect products and document waste; notify supervisor of issues or equipment problems.
• Comply with GMP, safety regulations, and company policies.

What You Will Do:

• Unpack raw materials, mix ingredients, assemble products, and package finished goods.
• Ensure that all products (from raw materials to finished products) meet company and government quality standards.
• Inspect products; throwing out or fixing products as necessary; writing down amount of waste as directed.
• Notify supervisor of quality issues, ingredient/material problems and/or equipment breakdowns.
• Perform all duties in compliance with existing USDA, OSHA, State, Federal, and company regulations, policies, and procedures (including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and safety regulations).

What We Look For:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 0 to 1 years of experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods on concrete floors.
• Strong manual dexterity; capable of performing repetitive hand, wrist, and arm motions.
• Be adaptable to rotating schedules, including weekends and overtime as needed.
