Job summary

CJ Schwan's in Deer Park, TX, is hiring for a full-time production associate on the 2nd shift (5:00 pm–3:30 am). Starting pay is $16.00 per hour with a $1.50 shift differential for hours 6 pm–6 am.

You will unpack materials, mix ingredients, assemble products, and package finished goods while maintaining quality standards. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, standing on concrete, and rotating schedules, with benefits including health, dental and vision plans, 401k with company match, and

Qualifications

• Manual dexterity and steady hands are required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk on concrete.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Willingness to rotate shifts and overtime as needed.
• Experience in food manufacturing is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Unpack raw materials, mix ingredients, assemble products, and package finished goods.
• Ensure all products meet company and government quality standards from raw materials to finished goods.
• Inspect products and document waste as directed; fix or discard defective items.
• Notify supervisor of quality issues, ingredient problems, or equipment breakdowns.
• Follow USDA/OSHA regulations, GMPs, and safety procedures in daily work.

What You Will Do

• Unpack raw materials, mix ingredients, assemble products, and package finished goods.
• Ensure that all products (from raw materials to finished products) meet company and government quality standards.
• Inspect products; throwing out or fixing products as necessary; writing down amount of waste as directed.
• Notify supervisor of quality issues, ingredient/material problems and/or equipment breakdowns.
• Perform all duties in compliance with existing USDA, OSHA, State, Federal, and company regulations, policies, and procedures (including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and safety regulations).

What We Look For

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 0 to 1 years of experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods on concrete floors.
• Strong manual dexterity; capable of performing repetitive hand, wrist, and arm motions.
• Be adaptable to rotating schedules, including weekends and overtime as needed.
