Role Responsibilities

Line and prep cooks efficiently prepare tacos, meats, fish, vegetables, soups, and other hot foods. Responsibilities include food preparation, portioning, plating, garnishing, and maintaining a clean work environment.

Specific Duties
  • Ensure high quality of all products served
  • Follow standard portion sizes, cooking methods, and kitchen policies
  • Maintain sufficient stock levels at line stations
  • Portion, season, and prepare food for cooking
  • Maintain cleanliness of work stations and equipment
  • Assist in food prep during off-peak hours
  • Close the kitchen following proper procedures
  • Attend employee meetings and suggest improvements
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Quick thinker and problem solver
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. frequently, 50 lbs. with assistance
  • Ability to work in hot and noisy environments
  • High integrity and strong work ethic
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Willingness to work long hours, evenings, and weekends
  • Food handler’s and/or alcohol certification may be required
Experience
  • Back of House experience required
