Job summary

Alaska Airlines seeks a Line Aircraft Technician at Anchorage Airport to repair and maintain aircraft as part of the Maintenance & Engineering division. This union-represented role includes dismantling, repairing, assembling and erecting machinery, with safety and airworthiness at the forefront.

The position requires an FAA A&P license, strong knowledge of aircraft systems, ability to lift 70 lbs, and flexibility for nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of aircraft systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues.
• Must be able to lift 70 lbs and maneuver in tight spaces.
• FAA regulations knowledge and procedures.
• A&P license required; valid US driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Repair and perform maintenance on aircraft including dismantling, repairing, and assembly.
• Adhere to attendance reliability policies and procedures.
• Sign off on maintenance documents per Airworthiness requirements.
• Act as cockpit coordinator to ensure safe operation of aircraft systems when assigned.
• Maintain a clean, safe and orderly work environment.
