Job description

The primary responsibility of the Part Time Retail Associate is to provide excellent customer service and share their knowledge and recommendations as needed. Duties include assisting customers, processing all cash receipts, driving daily sales, product merchandising, facing products, and stocking shelves. Other related tasks and special projects may be assigned, including cleaning and maintenance of all sales floor and register areas. The Retail Associate should assist management in ensuring all store procedures are followed and standards are met.

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure merchandise presentations and stock levels are appropriate, with current and proper signage.
2. Maintain a clean store environment, including fixtures, shelves, baskets, backroom, and floor, according to company policy.
3. Manage cash, inventory, and assist with opening and closing procedures.
4. Support marketing efforts, customer relations, and daily operations.
5. Operate cash register, accept payments, make change, provide receipts, and bag merchandise.
6. Use POS system to enter customer information.
7. Foster a pleasant work environment for all associates.
8. Stock and face shelves, retrieve back/top stock as needed, and verify pricing, shelf tags, and dates, correcting discrepancies immediately.
9. Become familiar with all products, their uses, and locations in the store.
10. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Prior retail experience preferred.
• Vitamin and/or nutrition knowledge is a plus.
• Customer service experience is required.
• Flexible with weekly scheduling.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds and perform stocking tasks.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Ability to stay productive and multi-task.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stand for 8 hours.
• Able to work in a physically demanding environment.
