Job summary

The Wexner Medical Center seeks a Biomedical Engineer to oversee assessment, installation, verification, maintenance and support of radiation oncology treatment systems including linear accelerators, simulators and treatment planning imaging. You will collaborate with medical physicists to support multiple modalities.

A Bachelor degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology or equivalent, CBET or CRES certification, and hands-on experience with linear accelerators are required, with comprehensive

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology or equivalent technical training.
• CBET or CRES certification preferred.
• Manufacturer's training on linear accelerators and 2 years experience of technical support for linear accelerators.
• Knowledge of radiation oncology procedures, treatment modalities and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assess, install, and perform verification and maintenance of radiation oncology systems.
• Support multiple modalities including linear accelerators, simulators and planning imaging systems.
• Collaborate with medical physicists and clinical staff to ensure safe and effective treatments.
