Position Overview

San Luis Valley Health is seeking a full-time Limited Scope Tech to join our Imaging Team.

Requirements

• Limited Scope X-Ray (LSRT) certification or certification through the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.
• Completion of the first year of an ARRT-accredited program meeting Limited Scope X-Ray (LRST) certification guidelines.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures.
• Maintain and troubleshoot radiologic equipment, perform routine maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and coordinate repairs.
• Perform x-ray, medical, and testing procedures under supervision of a registered x-ray technologist.
• Clean x-ray room and equipment daily.
• Handle general office duties like scheduling, answering phones, and filing.
• Position equipment, prepare rooms, contrast material, and other necessary materials for procedures.
• Practice radiation safety to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
