Job summary

OrthoVirginia is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for our Stone Springs location to perform diagnostic X-rays in a fast-paced outpatient orthopedic setting. This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with no nights or weekends, working closely with physicians, clinicians, and patients to support accurate diagnoses and high-quality patient care.

You will operate radiographic equipment, ensure patient safety, and maintain imaging records while adhering to safety standards and regulatory

Qualifications

  • Current Virginia Limited Radiologic Technologist license or ability to obtain prior to start date.
  • Knowledge of basic anatomy, patient positioning, and radiation safety practices.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality diagnostic X-rays following imaging protocols and safety standards.
  • Prepare and position patients for radiographic procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Produce accurate images within a timely timeframe to support diagnosis and treatment.
  • Review images for technical quality, positioning, and orientation.
  • Document and process digital images with correct patient information.
  • Prepare and maintain examination rooms for procedures.
  • Follow radiation safety practices to minimize exposure.
  • Maintain radiographic equipment in safe working condition and compliant with regulations.
  • Collaborate with providers and clinical team to support efficient patient flow and patient experience.
  • Assist with additional clinical or operational needs as appropriate.

Job Description Put Your Radiology Skills to Work in Orthopedic Care No Nights | No Weekends

Join OrthoVirginia as a Radiologic Technologist and play an important role in helping our providers diagnose and treat orthopedic injuries and conditions. In this full-time role at our Stone Springs location, you'll perform diagnostic X-rays in a fast-paced outpatient orthopedic environment while working closely with physicians, clinical team members, and patients. You'll have the opportunity to see a variety of orthopedic cases and make a direct impact on the patient experience every day.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM–4:15 PM

Contrast: No contrast administration required

Daily Volume: Approximately 20–100 cases depending on provider volume

What You'll Do
  • Perform high-quality diagnostic X-rays while following established imaging protocols and safety standards.
  • Prepare and position patients for radiographic procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the exam.
  • Produce accurate, quality images within an appropriate timeframe to support provider diagnosis and treatment.
  • Review images for technical quality, positioning, and correct anatomical orientation.
  • Accurately process and document digital images with the correct patient information.
  • Prepare and maintain examination rooms for radiographic procedures.
  • Follow radiation safety practices to protect patients, team members, and yourself from unnecessary exposure.
  • Ensure radiographic equipment is maintained in safe working condition and meets applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with providers and clinical team members to support efficient patient flow and an exceptional patient experience.
  • Assist with additional clinical or operational needs as appropriate.

Qualifications

Current Virginia Limited Radiologic Technologist license, or ability to obtain prior to start date. Meets all applicable state requirements to perform limited-scope diagnostic X-rays. Knowledge of basic anatomy, patient positioning, and radiation safety practices. Current BLS/CPR certification preferred. Previous experience performing diagnostic X-rays preferred; orthopedic or outpatient clinical experience is a plus. Strong patient care, communication, and customer service skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented clinical environment. Candidates who have recently completed an approved limited radiologic technology program and meet applicable Virginia licensure requirements are encouraged to apply.

Compensation Range for this position: $27.87 - $41.80. Compensation for this role will be based on several factors, including the candidate's qualifications, relevant experience, education, skills, certifications, geography/market, and internal equity considerations.
