Job summary

Texas Orthopedics, a Division of OrthoLonestar, is seeking a Radiology Technician to perform x-rays per physician orders, prep patients, and manage images in PACS. The role requires ARRT/LMRT certification and at least one year in healthcare, preferably orthopedics. You will ensure safety, compliance, and quality patient care in a busy clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• ARRT or LMRT certification; ARRT preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a healthcare setting; orthopedic experience preferred.
• Radiological Certification required or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Takes x-rays following physician orders and safety procedures.
• Works with physician staff to ensure quality patient care and services.
• Prepares patients for radiological procedures.
• Sends radiology images and x-rays to PACS for reading and interpretation.
• Ensures radiology equipment is in good working condition and reports malfunctions.
• Assists with patient flow and rooming in the clinic.
• Complies with OSHA regulations and clinic standards.

This commitment helps us deliver an exceptional experience not only to our patients, but also to every member of our team.GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:Takes x-rays of patients, following physician’s orders and established procedures for patient safety and protection.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Takes x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.Knowledge and application of radiology guidelines.Work with physician staff to ensure quality patient care and services are provided. Ensure compliance with clinic standards and OSHA regulations of quality patient care.
