Job description

UTHealth Houston Department of Orthopedics, UT Ortho at Memorial Hermann | Rockets Orthopedic Clinic, is hiring a Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist to join their team of professionals. Ortho experience is a plus, but not required. Must be willing to travel to other locations, as needed.

Position Summary:

To perform limited radiological duties for diagnostic purposes.

Position Key Accountabilities:

  1. Prepares patient for radiological procedures.
  2. Performs limited radiological duties.
  3. Maintains production and quality of radiographs.
  4. Ensure all equipment is in good working condition and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  5. Produce quality diagnostic radiographs.
  6. Prepares reports and maintains records.
  7. Perform data entry and filing.
  8. Other duties as assigned.

Certification/Skills:

Current licensure as a Limited Radiologic Technologist (LMRT) by the Texas Department of State Health Services.

Minimum Education:

High School diploma or equivalent.
Diploma from an accredited radiology school and/or equivalent required.

Minimum Experience:

None.

Physical Requirements:

Exerts up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds frequently and/or up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.

Security Sensitive:

This job class may contain positions that are security sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of Texas Education Code § 51.215.

Residency Requirement:

Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas.
