The Respiratory Aide II, under the supervision of a licensed Respiratory Therapist, may provide basic respiratory care to non-acute patients. This role may also be responsible for cleaning, assembling, and maintaining respiratory supplies and equipment. Must maintain a clean, organized, and functional work area.

Current Respiratory Care Limited Permit and BLS (American Heart Association) required.
Current student or recent graduate of an AMA-approved Respiratory Care Program.

Knowledge of growth and development principles; ability to assess patient data across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
High stress, fluctuating workloads, exposure to noise, bright lights, hazardous substances, body fluids, and potential infections. Use universal precautions and protective equipment.
Manual dexterity, shift work, maneuvering patients, hearing alarms, reaching, repetitive movements, visual acuity, and exposure to various risks including chemicals, electrical energy, and radiation.
Interpersonal, communication, organizational, troubleshooting, and data interpretation skills. Knowledge of respiratory equipment and procedures, including CPAP/BiPAP, oxygen therapy, and EKGs. Ability to work with diverse populations and receive feedback effectively.
