Overview

This position is to install, test, and repair electronic systems—including fire alarm, video surveillance, access control, and structured cabling systems—across commercial, institutional, and industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe job site, maintaining compliance with company safety standards.
• Work in a team environment, seeking to understand best practices for quality installations.
• Install pathway, raceway, and cabling in new or existing buildings.
• Install low‑voltage system devices, e.g., fire alarm, cameras, readers, etc.
• Terminate and test low‑voltage cabling.
• Communicate progress of work, delivery, and implementation.
• Analyze blueprints effectively for job site knowledge.
• Analyze upcoming tasks and anticipate required equipment, procedures, and training.
• Accurately complete required paperwork.
• Travel to various jobsite locations; overnight stays may be required. Per diem will be paid to cover expenses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license; must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid background and drug‑testing clearance.
• Previous experience with construction or mechanical work (e.g., automotive repair, residential construction, or general assembly) is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills—verbal, written, and listening.
• Computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel, is preferred.
• Demonstrate interest in electronic or electrical systems.
• Union participation is required—International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 388.

Schedule

June through September, Monday to Friday, 1st Shift. Five days of 8 hours per day or four days of 10 hours per day. Start times vary, but typically 6:00 AM. Full‑time, long‑term potential.

Compensation

$20.00 to $22.00 per hour plus travel and per diem.
