Job summary

HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MI is seeking a competent supervisor to lead daily housing services operations for residents. The role includes staff supervision, budgeting, compliance, and coordinating across divisions to ensure quality service delivery.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field with 3-5 years of related experience, plus licensing in Public Housing Management and a Wisconsin driver license. Strong analytical and reporting skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field; 3-5 years of related experience or equivalent combination.
• Public Housing Manager Certification required.
• Valid Wisconsin Driver License.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff to include prioritizing and assigning work, evaluating performance, training, and hiring/discipline.
• Oversees daily operations including unit leasing, recertifications, evictions, occupancy and maintenance.
• Enforces compliance with laws, rules, regulations, and leases.
• Performs inspections of buildings, grounds, and units for repairs and service needs.
• Responds to resident inquiries and handles complaints, including evictions as needed.
• Coordinates department services across divisions to ensure effective service delivery.
• Prepares purchase requisitions for services and supplies.
• Prepares and manages operating budgets.
• Prepares operating, housing occupancy, and related reports.
• Performs duties necessary for LIHTC compliance.
