Job summary

Got Light in San Francisco is seeking a Lighting Warehouse Associate to join our busy warehouse team. You will read pull lists, pick, pack, and safely load gear for live events, test equipment, and ensure cleanliness and readiness for transport.

This full-time, in-person role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, 1–2 years in live event lighting or related field, and flexibility for early starts and weekends. We offer comprehensive benefits and a 401k to eligible employees.

ABOUT THIS JOB:

Special Event Design & Production Company seeking a Lighting Warehouse Associate. In this position you will be responsible for the accurate pick, pack, pull of technical equipment for special events. Part of this process includes equipment testing, quality control, and product cleanliness. In this position, you are also responsible for safely loading and unloading trucks, inventory management, and transportation to and from venues or vendors.

We are seeking qualified candidates to join our Warehouse department, and to uphold the integrity of the company brand, with cleanliness and proper presentation, help maintain your workspace and the common areas of the warehouse, and assist in loading and unloading of gear.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • Assist a team to pick, pack, pull, the technical equipment process for detailed special events.
  • Ability to read detailed technical equipment pull lists in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Responsible for the delivery and pick up of event equipment to and from venues and vendors when needed.
  • Uphold the integrity of the company brand, cleanliness, and immaculate presentation.
  • Experience with lighting fixture programming is required; knowledge of lighting network fundamentals is preferred.
  • Experience performing equipment diagnostics, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and basic repairs.
  • Experience with soldering, cable termination, and basic electronics maintenance is a plus.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • This position requires a High School Diploma or GED.
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in live event lighting production, entertainment technology, warehouse operations, or another fast-paced, related environment.
  • Working knowledge of professional lighting equipment, including conventional and intelligent lighting fixtures.
  • Knowledge of electrical power systems and temporary event power distribution is a plus.
  • Previous experience driving 16'–24' box trucks is strongly preferred.
  • Forklift certification or experience operating warehouse material handling equipment is preferred.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on event and production schedules.
WHAT WE OFFER:
  • This is a Full-time hourly position.
  • Full-time regular employees are eligible to participate in Got Light’s medical, dental, vision, chiropractic & 401k benefits.
  • Full-time regular employees are eligible for PTO and (5) paid holidays.
  • Hourly rate is based on work experience.
  • Starting at $23.20/hr.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
  • Ability to push/pull/lift up to 70 pounds.
  • Continual standing and/or walking without limitations up to 10 hours daily.
  • Ability to work in an environment that may be noisy, unheated, and not air-conditioned.
  • Engage in full manual dexterity in both hands and wrists.
SCHEDULE:
  • Full Time non-exempt
  • In person work
  • Regular Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.
  • Requires schedule flexibility approximately once a month to accommodate an early start time of 5:30 AM or earlier.
