Signature Theatre in Arlington, VA seeks a full-time Lighting Supervisor to lead lighting and video needs across all productions and events. Responsible for planning, operation, maintenance, safety, and supervision of the electrics staff in coordination with the Production Manager and other departments.

The role includes budgeting, scheduling overhire, payroll processing for hourly electrics, and long-range inventory planning of lighting assets. This is a full-time position based in Arlington.

Qualifications

• Full-time Lighting Supervisor responsible for planning, operation and maintenance of lighting and video for all productions and events.
• Supervise electrics staff and coordinate with production departments to optimize resources.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with designers and production staff to support lighting and video design needs for all productions.
• Cost-out material, labor, and time needed to execute all lighting and video designs, evaluate design feasibility, and ensure safe implementation.
• Coordinate with other departments on shared production elements, such as practicals in scenery and electrification of props.
• Configure and maintain all electrics equipment and lighting and video networks.
• Design and implement all electrics rigging systems.
• Ensure proper functionality and safety of all electrical elements.
• Maintain the lighting and video equipment inventories.
• Supervise ongoing maintenance of lighting and video designs during run, and manage payroll for hourly electrics staff.
• Hire, manage, and dismiss full-time and overhire electrics staff; schedule overhire crew and assist HR onboarding.
