Job summary

Eisemann Center is seeking a Technical Theater Specialist – Lighting to supervise and coordinate lighting production for performances. The role requires operating lighting control boards, training staff, and coordinating stage tasks for setup, show, and strike.

Candidates should have two years of experience in a theatrical tech role and at least one year of college in Theatre Arts, Technical Direction, or Lighting Design.

Qualifications

• 1 year of college in Theatre Arts, Technical Direction, Lighting Design or related field. Substitute possible.
• Two years of experience as theatrical technician, stagehand, technical director, stage manager, or related backstage position.
• Knowledge of lighting equipment and best use practices; reading drawings/plans; Windows computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Operate and train staff on lighting control boards and lighting equipment.
• Oversee setup, performance, and strike of productions; coordinate tasks for staff, contract workers, and volunteers.
• Maintain records of post-event details and equipment maintenance; ensure safety and policy compliance.
• Weekend and evening work required.
