Job summary

Crescent Electric Supply Company is seeking a Lighting Quotations Specialist who will quote lighting material from plans and specifications on construction projects. You will also build lighting Bills of Material and work with customers on design-build projects.

Interact with contractors, architects, engineers and owners to suggest lighting products, negotiate pricing, and provide technical lighting expertise within the branch.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Two-year trade school or four-year college degree recommended.
• Experience in lighting products and bid processes.

Job description

As a Lighting Quotations Specialist, you will be responsible for quoting lighting material from plans and specifications on construction projects. This may also include building a lighting Bills of Material from a plan/specification reading or working with a customer to suggest lighting products on design-build projects.

Primary Duties

Interact with electrical contractors, architects, engineers, and owners to suggest lighting products to be used on all types of construction projects. Negotiate pricing with lighting manufacturers and customers. Act as source of technical lighting expertise within the branch. Collect and analyze lighting quotations data to determine patterns of success or failure. Measure by product type, manufacturer, bid amounts, and customers.

Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); a minimum of one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Two-year trade school or four-year college degree strongly recommended. Lighting product and application knowledge, as well as an understanding of the bid process. Background in wholesale electrical distribution or electrical contracting is preferred.

Physical Demands

Occasional standing and walking. Frequent sitting and use of hands/fingers. Lifting up to 25 pounds is occasionally needed.

Vision Requirements

close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less) and the ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus).
