Job summary

Consolidated Electrical Distributors in Greensburg, PA seeks a Lighting Quotations Specialist to support the sales team on commercial, industrial, and multi-family lighting quotes. You will interpret specifications, liaise with engineers and architects, and assist in lighting layout design, pricing, and project coordination.

The role reports to the Sales Manager and requires strong math, grammar, geometry, and Excel skills, with excellent English communication and customer-facing abilities.

Qualifications

• 2 year technical degree or equivalent field experience.
• Strong mathematics, grammar and geometry skills.
• Working knowledge of lamps, ballast and fixtures is a must.
• Fluent with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Ability to write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Interpret project specs to prepare quotations with price, delivery, and tech info.
• Value engineer projects to position CED competitively.
• Order material per project and customer needs.
• Manage projects to ensure on-time orders.
• Liaise between customers and suppliers for price, delivery and tech info.
• Interpret needs to design lighting layouts and specs for design & build.
• Prepare operation/maintenance manuals after completion.
• Collaborate with sales to strategize project quotes.

Summary:

We are searching for a quotations specialist to join our team! Quotations specialists work under the direction of the Sales Manger to help our sales team quote new commercial, industrial, and large multi-family residential electrical construction projects. This position is customer-facing and requires great customer service skills and attention to detail. As a quotations specialist you will communicate with vendors, customers, co-workers, etc.

Reports to: Sales Manager

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2 year technical degree or equivalent field experience

• Strong mathematics, grammar and geometry skills

• Working knowledge of lamps, ballast and fixtures is a must

• Fluent with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

• Ability to write and speak English

Preferred Qualifications:

Essential Job Functions:

• Interpret project specifications, plans and requirements to prepare quotations conveying price, delivery, and technical info to customers,

• Value engineer projects to position CED as the competitive bidder,

• Order material based on project and customer requirements,

• Manage projects to ensure orders remain on time and per requirements,

• Contact engineers and architects to discuss bid project requirements and position CEDs products favorably,

• Act as liaison between CED customers and suppliers for price, delivery, service and technical product information as needed,

• Interpret customer needs to design lighting lay-out and product specification for design & build projects,

• Prepare operation and maintenance manuals after project completion,

• Work closely with sales teams to strategize on project quotes
