Job summary

Elco Lighting is seeking a Product Testing Engineer to drive comprehensive testing of LED lighting products, focusing on electrical and mechanical performance, safety, and regulatory compliance. You will develop test plans, work with UL/ETL labs, analyze results, and collaborate with design teams to implement improvements, including field support and occasional travel to job sites in the Los Angeles area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven experience in product testing and quality assurance.
• Familiarity with UL and ETL testing standards and Title 24.
• Experience working with external test laboratories and test automation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute detailed test plans for lighting products, including LED fixtures, dimmers, and related components.
• Analyze test data and identify product improvements with design and engineering teams.
• Coordinate regulatory compliance and certification with UL/ETL and Title 24.
• Troubleshoot on job sites and support field issues; travel as needed.
• Conduct electrical testing and dimmer compatibility testing.
• Perform LED testing including photometric measurements and thermal management evaluation.
