Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Technical degree, 1-3 years’ field experience, extensive mechanical ability, or a combination of education and/or experience.
• CDL A required.

Responsibilities

• Work safely while performing new construction, maintenance or repair of energized and de-energized overhead and underground distribution and lighting systems.
• Conduct pre-job planning based on job prints and work orders.
• Working knowledge of overhead and underground line work, construction standards and installation.
• Identify primary and secondary voltage on a circuit, and underground pulling equipment.
• Understand sloping, shoring, excavation, minimum approach distance and ladder requirements.
• Ability to maintain, check out, position, and safely operate bucket truck.
• Performs excavation of dirt, rock, concrete, and other materials using hand tools and power equipment.
• Support safety initiatives using personal protective equipment, and line protection devices.
