Job summary

HDR is seeking a Lighting Design Intern to gain hands-on experience in diverse lighting projects within our Building Engineering team. You will work under the guidance of experienced engineers, applying standard techniques, and contributing to design decisions.

You'll engage with recent graduates and leaders, participate in mentoring programs, and develop practical skills essential to professional growth in lighting design and engineering.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
• Attention to detail is essential.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills are required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools is expected.

Responsibilities

• Gain real-world experience on exciting lighting design projects.

In the role of a Lighting Design Intern, we'll count on you to:

• Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager
• Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA

• Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
• Attention to detail
• Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Basic Microsoft Office skills
