This person designs and develops the lights of a car (inside and outside). They make sure the lights work properly, look good, and follow safety rules.

About the Role

Lead the design and development of automotive lighting systems (interior & exterior) from concept to production launch.

Responsibilities

• Define system requirements, specifications, and validation plans aligned with regulations and vehicle targets.
• Manage supplier RFQs, technical evaluations, design reviews, and issue resolution.
• Coordinate CAD design, packaging, optics, and CAE activities for proper integration and performance.
• Own DFMEA, DVP&R, test plans, and quality documentation for lighting systems.
• Ensure compliance with global automotive lighting regulations and standards.
• Manage cost, weight, timing, and quality targets for components and subsystems.
• Support prototype builds, testing, and pre-production validation.
• Collaborate with electrical, body, manufacturing, and quality teams.
