Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced Automotive Lighting Designer in the United States to develop conceptual and production lighting solutions using sketches, renderings, and 3D models. You will craft compelling lighting visions aligned with Ford brand influence and exterior design emphasis.

The role requires translating customer needs and global trends into innovative lighting concepts, leading teammates, and coordinating with Engineering and suppliers on project progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Transportation Design, or similar.
• 4+ years of Automotive or Transportation Design experience, including lighting conceptual design and final product execution.
• Ability to interpret customer needs and global trends into compelling lighting design visions.
• Ability to work independently and lead team members with strong technical aesthetic judgment.
• Awareness of global automotive lighting technology, regulations, and trends.
• Demonstrated creative exterior, interior, or component design capability.
• Design portfolio in PDF format required upon application.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; Visa sponsorship is not available.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Transportation Design, or similar
• 4+ years of Automotive or Transportation Design experience, including lighting conceptual design and final product execution
