Job summary

WSP USA seeks a Lighting Design Intern for Summer 2027 to work from our Arlington, VA office. You will join a team of award-winning designers and engineers on real projects from concept through construction, gaining hands-on experience and exposure to the profession.

Currently enrolled undergrad/grad students in lighting design or related fields will develop skills in lighting calculations, design documentation, and client presentations while supporting project teams across markets.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in lighting design or related undergraduate program with Aug 2027 graduation or later.
• Authorized to work in the United States at internship start.
• Familiar with Revit, AutoCAD, AGi32, Visual, Rhino, Grasshopper, Adobe CS.

Responsibilities

• Perform lighting calculations and analyses using industry tools.
• Prepare materials for client presentations and design reviews.
• Support design documentation and technical deliverables.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors on projects.
