Job summary

Ghafari Associates, LLC is seeking a Lighting Designer to design, analyze and engineer lighting systems for new construction and renovations of industrial and commercial facilities. You will develop construction documents for lighting fixtures, review submittals, and coordinate with CAD drafters and other disciplines in a hybrid Dearborn, MI environment.

Required: a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; 3–6+ years in lighting design; proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, AGI32

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3–6+ years related experience in the lighting design engineering field.
• Lighting Certification (L.C.) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze and engineer lighting systems for new or renovated facilities.
• Prepare construction documents and coordinate with CAD drafters.
• Review submittals and ensure conformance with contract documents.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and maintain project files.
