We foster a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence, providing our team with the tools to master the latest in lighting technology and advance their careers.

Responsibilities
  • Generate submittal and installation documentation, including lighting control device layouts, one-line riser diagrams, cut sheets, installation details, and wiring diagrams.
  • Work closely with the sales team to understand customer requirements and create accurate photometric layouts using industry-standard software.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in the lighting industry.
  • Actively research and understand the products available on our line card.
  • Learn, troubleshoot, and eventually master advanced lighting protocols (such as DMX) and specialized control hardware to support complex project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with sales agents, specifiers, electrical distributors, and electrical contractors.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the sales team, including product selection, customization options, and addressing technical queries.
  • Support the sales team during customer engagements and assist in conducting product demonstrations and training sessions for customers, showcasing the advantages and features of our lighting solutions.
  • Analyze electrical plans, specifications, and sequences of operations.
  • Review project quotations, purchase orders, and sales orders to identify and resolve any discrepancies in bill of materials.
  • Ensure submittal and installation documents are accurate and complete.
  • Proactively communicate project changes and update documentation accordingly.
  • Coordinate custom product requirements with engineering, operations, and production teams.
  • Manage multiple projects to meet customer and project deadlines.
  • Attend and lead project meetings and conference calls with clients and customers.
  • Respond quickly and professionally to requests from sales representatives, consultants, engineers, electricians, and end-users.
  • Organize daily and weekly schedules to meet project deadlines.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronic Engineering Technology (EET), Architecture, or a related field. Recent graduates with a strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
  • In lieu of a degree, 3+ years of relevant work experience in the lighting and controls industry will be considered. Entry-level candidates with a demonstrably strong technical background and an eagerness to learn are also highly encouraged to apply.

  • Knowledge of lighting industry standards and regulations is preferred.
  • Proficiency in photometric software and lighting design tools, such as Visual Lighting Software, is preferred.
  • Experience with, or strong desire to learn, advanced lighting control protocols. DMX experience is strongly preferred; familiarity with systems like DALI, nLight, or Cresnet is a significant plus.
  • An interest or foundational skills in programming/scripting (such as Python or C++) to help automate engineering tasks, match datasets, and streamline internal project tracking tools are strongly encouraged.
  • Attention to detail while thoroughly reviewing project documents.
  • This role is in-office, in our Downtown Boston location.
