Job summary

Summit Electric Supply is seeking a Lighting Controls Specialist to design IECC compliant lighting control packages and support the Lighting Controls Department in growing lighting controls sales. You will produce take-offs and designs from construction documents for bidding, coordinating controls systems to ensure reliable startup and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Theatrical Production or equivalent technical experience.
• Familiarity with control theory
• Ability to read construction documents
• Understanding of basic electrical distribution within buildings
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Design code compliant lighting control packages.
• Support outside sales and electrical contractors on specified lighting control packages.
• Support project management teams with lighting control packages.
• Troubleshooting of installed systems and basic field service as required.
• Assist in product selection, design of basic riser diagrams, development of specifications and contract documents.
• Serve as a technical resource to inside Summit staff as well as customer base
