Job summary

Schott North America is hiring for an assembly role within the Lighting and Imaging unit. You will assemble Fiber optic/Medical units, prepare tubing, and build fiber bundles in a team environment.

The position emphasizes manual dexterity, adherence to EDS/FOD standards, and accurate data entry in SAP. Starting pay is determined by skills and experience, with multiple pay levels offered.

• Follow manufacturing documentation, EDS & FOD requirements.
• Log and package products; maintain supplies.
• Enter SAP transactions and maintain daily records.

Your Contribution

• Responsible for assembling various Fiber opti/Medical units.
• Prepare tubing; assemble fiber bundles.
• Works under instruction with drawings to assemble mechanical parts.
• Grinds and polishes fiber optics assemblies with guidance.
• Basic understand for the manufacturing documentation, EDS & FOD requirements.
• Provide feedback regarding production issues.
• Label and package products, make boxes.
• Maintain appropriate levels of work supplies
• Work with manufacturing and engineering to make suggestions for process improvement. Share personal experiences with others.
• Measure dimensions related to prints.
• Under Supervision set-up tests according to appropriate test procedures.
• Coordinate efforts to make team schedules and quality goals.
• Meets utilization targets and standard times.
• Accurately enters Database/SAP transactions in the computer.
• Maintains daily records, including labor sheets and routers.
• Responsible for observing and following all Environmental, Health and Safety rules and procedures.
