Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Light-Wheel Vehicle Mechanic to supervise and perform maintenance and recovery on wheeled vehicles, in both field and shop settings. You will inspect, service, maintain, repair, test, adjust and replace vehicle systems, including electrical wiring harnesses and charging.

Training is provided, with paid drill weekends and potential tuition assistance. The role emphasizes troubleshooting and repairing mechanical problems, with opportunities for civilian career

Qualifications

• Must enlist in the Army National Guard.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be between ages 17 and 35.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and perform maintenance and recovery operations on wheeled vehicles in the field and in the shop.
• Inspect, service, maintain, repair, test, adjust and replace systems and components; service electrical systems including wiring harness and charging systems.
