Job Summary

The Light Vehicle Mechanic performs routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on light vehicles. The role involves identifying mechanical and electrical faults, replacing defective parts, and ensuring vehicles meet safety and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues.
• Diagnose faults using diagnostic equipment and testing tools.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, tire rotations, and brake servicing.
• Repair or replace defective components including engines, transmissions, suspension systems, steering systems, and electrical parts.
• Conduct vehicle safety inspections and road tests.
• Maintain accurate service and repair records.
• Follow manufacturer specifications and workplace safety procedures.
• Advise customers or service advisors on required repairs and maintenance.
• Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.

Required Skills And Qualifications
