Qualifications
Six years of progressive rail equipment or maintenance experience, including previous supervisory experience.
Mechanical trade school or two years of experience working with mechanical systems may substitute for one year of rail equipment or maintenance experience.
Responsibilities
Manages and motivates the track maintenance workforce for maximum productivity.
Ensures compliance with safety and established standards.
Coordinates proper equipment manipulation and emergency repairs.
Monitors data entry in the Asset Management System.
Supervises construction and operations of track projects.
Analyzes trends of track system failures and initiates corrective actions.
Oversees training programs for mechanical personnel.
Develops and monitors material usage and availability.
Trains staff in proper maintenance procedures.
Identifies and prioritizes capital projects.
