The Allen Institute seeks a Research Associate I to join the light microscopy team in the Connectomics Department. You will help optimize and scale light microscopy-based connectomics using tissue expansion and advanced volumetric lightsheet imaging for fluorescence with molecular contrast.

The role requires strong organization and collaboration in a team-science oriented environment. This is an onsite position at 615 Westlake Ave N.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree required in relevant field.

Mansioni

• Perform tissue dissections and biochemical preparation of mouse brain samples for downstream molecular profiling and imaging workflows.
• Execute experimental workflows for tissue expansion and lightsheet fluorescence microscopy.
• Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and experimental records.
• Contribute to optimization, troubleshooting, and quality control of experimental workflows.
• Coordinate with internal teams and core facilities to support large-scale data and sample generation.
• Present results and summarize experimental progress within the team.
• Follow SOPs, good laboratory practices, and regulatory requirements.

Formazione

Bachelor’s degree in neuroscience, biology, bioengineering, biochemistry, molecular biology, or related field
