Job description

Organization Unit: Molecular Devices
Pay Rate: 25/hr.

As a Material Handler, you'll ship, receive, package, count and route material, complete associated paperwork and/or operate machinery such as forklift, pallet jack, etc.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate shipping and receiving and material handling transactions with appropriate individuals/departments.
2. Responsible for assigned picking inventorying, and packaging. Route packaging materials to proper departments.
3. Instruct and/or assist in preparing merchandise for shipment.
4. Maintain necessary records and files of transactions, verifying accuracy of shipments against bills of lading, invoices or other records on Oracle or other systems.
5. Sets up locations in ERP and resolve purchase order receiving discrepancies with planner-buyer.
6. Arranges stock to best advantage for efficiency and accessibility. Adheres to all safety rules and may use forklift and other material moving tools and machinery.
7. Deliver product from receiving to the appropriate destination.
8. Expedite internal material requirements, transferring inventory to multiple locations including MRB.
9. Setup material presentations in the cells utilizing DBS tools including Danaher Material Processing (DMP) and Visual Management.
10. Performs inventories; physically perform and transact cycle counts of materials.
11. Reconcile bad counts with assistance from Senior Material Handler.

Must haves:

1. Be able to lift 50 pounds and 4-5 years warehouse experience.
2. Good communication skills.
3. Willing to work overtime as needed.
