Job description

If you are interested in joining the P.J Helicopters team as Light Helicopter Base/Field Mechanic, you will need to possess the following:

1. FAA Airframe and Powerplant licenses.
2. Knowledge of FARs – 91, 133, 135, and 145.
3. Candidates with knowledge, experience, and training in the AS-350, Bell 407, 429 or MD 530F models will be given preference.
4. Commercial Driver’s License with HAZMAT/Tank Endorsements required. If you’re not in possession of HAZMAT, but possess other ideal qualifications, you must be willing to obtain your HAZMAT Commercial License immediately after hire.
5. Ability and/or willingness to work days, nights, weekends, scheduled days off, and on-call during busy periods. Some travel required.
6. Pre-employment drug-screening required, as well as ongoing randomized testing.
7. Ability to thrive in a dynamic team setting while maintaining good working relationships with staff, peers, and management.
8. Relocation: Preferred but not required.

Our A&P Base/Field Mechanics perform a variety of general helicopter maintenance including, but not limited to, detailed aircraft inspections, minor and major repairs and alterations, preventative maintenance and servicing. Our A&P Base/Field Mechanics perform all the base maintenance duties while in the field as well as drive the fuel and support trucks.
