Southeast Louisiana Flood Protection Authority – West is hiring for a position that provides manual labor and skilled light equipment operation to support flood protection efforts.

No prior experience is required. Appointment is Probational for up to 24 months, with compensation determined by qualifications and experience. State benefits and holidays are available to eligible employees.

Qualifications

• No experience or training is required.

Responsibilities

• Operates motorized equipment including lawn mowers, trimmers, and other gear to support Authority operations.
• Operates small handheld power equipment such as pole saws and blowers.
• Assists with minor repairs and routine maintenance as scheduled or required.
• Drives crew trucks between work sites and performs physical labor when needed.
