Job Title: Light Equipment Operator - Parks and Recreation Maintenance
Department: Parks and Recreation
Status: Classified Nonexempt - FLSA
Job Summary: Responsible for the repair and maintenance of the City's parks and cemetery facilities using the equipment and materials available to the department. Works under the immediate supervision of the Manager of Parks and Recreation Maintenance.
Job Duties:
Work Environment: Heavy work (exerting up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally); indoor/outdoor. Subject to hazards: moving mechanical parts, electric current, water, chemicals; atmospheric conditions: fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases; occasional exposure to below 32-degree temperatures, noise, and vibration. Physical activity: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, and grasping.
Requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent. Commercial driver’s license. Experienced operator of High Ranger bucket truck, portable power saw, extension pole, etc. Ability to express and exchange ideas and instructions accurately and clearly.
Pay Rate: $25.80/hour
Full Time: 40 Hours/week, Monday through Friday 7:00am to 3:00pm
