Job summary

Sheridan Pontiac is hiring a Light Equipment Operator 2 on the 1st shift (7:00am–3:00pm) in Pontiac, IL. Operate offline and auxiliary binding/finishing/packaging equipment and set up machines for production runs.

You will clean, lubricate and maintain equipment, troubleshoot issues as needed, and may train new crew. Requires knowledge of standard set ups and safe operation; mechanical skills with small hand tools; lifting up to 20 lbs; travel 0%.

• Ability to perform standard adjustments and operate the equipment.

Responsibilities

Job Summary:

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Clean, lubricate and maintain machine to ensure its optimum operation.

Basic Qualifications:

• Requires knowledge of standard set ups, adjustments and operating characteristics of the equipment and skill to perform standard adjustments and operate the equipment.

Desired Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to set up, operate , and perform basic adjustments to the equipment according to the individual job requirements, operating characteristics, and capabilities of the equipment.
• Typically, the adjustments performed at this level are routine and the need for such adjustments are readily apparent .
• Mechanical skills using small hand tools, and necessary safety requirements.
• Skill to read and understand instructions to fulfill each individual job.

Physical Requirements :

• Frequent bending, lifting and twisting
• Prolonged periods of standing
• Ability to frequently lift 20 lbs or more
