Job summary

The Town of Wayland seeks qualified candidates for a Light Equipment Operator with the Department of Public Works. This position performs a variety of skills, semi-skilled and unskilled manual labor in the maintenance, care and upkeep of fields, grounds, beaches, playgrounds, cemeteries, highway, basins, sidewalks, structures and facilities.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: mowing, tree/shrub planting, removal and maintenance; grounds keeping work; plows/shovel snow in roads,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of applicable experience in light equipment operation, labor, and maintenance.
• Must have and maintain a valid 2A/1C/4G hydraulics endorsement.

Salary Range: $24.54 - $29.90 per hour
