Job summary

Bob Bell Chevrolet of Baltimore is seeking an experienced Light Duty Truck Technician with diesel repair skills to join a high-volume, state-of-the-art service center. The role offers a sign-on bonus up to $2,000 and opportunities for career growth in a supportive team environment.

The technician should have 2+ years of experience, solid diagnostics, engine and electrical repair abilities, and a clean driving record. GM, ASE training and continuous education are available to advance your career.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of technician experience required.
• Maryland State Inspection License a plus.
• GM-certified technicians encouraged to apply.
• Solid skills in diagnostics, engine, electrical, and mechanical repair (B-level or higher).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Strong communication and customer service mindset.
• Team-oriented with a positive, professional attitude.
• Ability to learn new technology and operate electronic diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards
• Specialize in truck and diesel repairs (preferred)
• Accurately complete repair orders with efficiency and attention to detail
• Test components and systems using advanced diagnostic tools
• Communicate clearly with Service Advisors regarding additional work needed and time estimates
• Execute manufacturer warranty repairs to specification
• Test-drive vehicles before and after service as needed
