Job summary

ACTS Fleet Maintenance in Johnson City, TN is seeking a Light Duty Fleet Technician for full-time work with competitive hourly pay and performance incentives.

You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on light-duty fleet vehicles, including light-duty trucks, cargo vans, service vehicles, and other commercial fleet equipment. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and efficiency in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as Automotive Technician, Fleet Technician, or Light Duty Mechanic.
• Preventive maintenance and repair experience.
• Mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
• Experience using scan tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Valid driver's license; ASE certs a plus; CDL a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on light duty fleet vehicles.
• Handle oil changes, brakes, steering, suspension, and drivetrain repairs.
• Diagnose engine, electrical, and diagnostic issues.
• Complete DOT and safety inspections and maintain repair documentation.
• Deliver quality repairs with efficiency and attention to detail.

What You'll Work On

You’ll perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a wide variety of commercial fleet vehicles, including:

• Light-duty trucks
• Cargo vans
• Service vehicles
• Commercial fleet pickups
• Gas and diesel-powered fleet vehicles

Responsibilities include:

• Preventive maintenance services and scheduled inspections
• Oil changes, brakes, steering, suspension, and drivetrain repairs
• Engine, electrical, and diagnostic troubleshooting
• DOT inspections and safety inspections
• Identifying maintenance needs before they become major repairs
• Maintaining accurate repair documentation
• Delivering quality repairs with efficiency and attention to detail
