Job summary

United Uptime Services seeks a Light Duty Construction Technician to support concrete removal, framing, and site work on projects across the Southwest region. The role requires occasional travel, operation of light equipment, and a strong focus on safety and clean, professional interactions with teammates and clients.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and pass drug and background checks.

Qualifications

• Troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities to diagnose and fix field issues.
• Willingness to travel and work out of town with overnight stays.
• Clean driving record and valid license required; CDL preferred and CDL certification paid by company.

Responsibilities

• Conduct construction work on projects including concrete removal, framing, pouring, mixing, and finishing small portions of concrete.
• Operate equipment such as work truck, skid steers, forklift, and man-lift following safety protocols.
• Maintain tools and equipment and ensure safe, proper working order.
• Verify progress tasks for codes, specs, and manufacturer requirements; ensure compliance.
• Build professional relationships with peers, clients, and supervisors.

What You Will Do:

• Conduct work on construction projects, concrete removal and replacement,
• Framing, pouring, mixing, and finishing small portions of concrete
• Operate equipment such as company work truck, skid steers, forklift, man-lift following all equipment and company safety protocols
• Ensure safe housekeeping practices are always followed, including job cleanup at the end of each day
• Maintain tools and equipment to ensure all are in proper and safe working order
• Verify accuracy and compliance of tasks in progress to comply with codes, project specifications and manufacturer requirements
• Create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, clients, and supervisors)

What We’re Looking For:

• Must be willing to travel occasionally and work out of town including overnight stays; amount of travel will vary
• Exhibit a professional demeanor, and develop customer relations and superior service
• High school diploma or GED (required)
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required)
• Pass a drug test and background check. (required)
• Class A CDL Preferred, but will pay to certify the right individual
• Experience in construction work helpful and any heavy equipment operation is a PLUS
• Troubleshooting skills/logical problem-solving skills
