BFS Fleet Service in Buffalo, NY is seeking an experienced Light-Duty Automotive Technician / Service Specialist for a Monday–Friday schedule. Join a growing fleet repair crew with a 30,000+ sq ft facility and 36 bays, offering robust benefits and opportunities.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing vehicles, preventive maintenance, and using diagnostics to ensure accurate repairs. Tools and license requirements apply; NY inspector license and ASE certs are a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous professional experience as an automotive or light-duty technician.
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills.
• A dependable work ethic and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Your own professional hand tools.
• A valid driver’s license.
• ASE certifications and a New York State inspector’s license are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair cars, vans, pickups, and light-duty vehicles.
• Perform preventive maintenance and brake, steering, suspension, engine, cooling system, and electrical repairs.
• Use diagnostic equipment and service information to identify problems accurately.
• Complete digital vehicle inspections with findings, notes, and photos.
• Document repairs and communicate additional service needs to the service advisor.
• Work with shop foreman and service team to complete quality repairs efficiently.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
