Job summary

Shaw Industries is hiring a Lift Truck Operator for the 2nd shift (Mon–Fri, 4:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m.) to safely move products to and from inventory while preserving quality and preventing damage.

Responsibilities include retrieving items, loading pallets, and using the onboard computer. Must pass SMS training, follow safety rules, and work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate a lift truck safely.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Must complete SMS safety training.
• Able to read and follow instructions.
• Must have basic math and computer skills.
• Must be able to use onboard computer.

Responsibilities

• Move products from inventory to proper locations using a lift truck.
• Load and unload pallets and place them in correct areas.
• Maintain accurate inventory locations per instructions.
• Adhere to shift schedule and safety rules.
• Operate onboard computer as required.

Job description

Shaw Industries is seeking Lift Truck Operators for 2nd shift (Monday–Friday, 4:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m.) to safely move and transport products to and from inventory locations while maintaining product quality and preventing damage or safety hazards.

Job Title

Lift Truck Operator

Position Objective

To move and transportproducts to and from inventory locations, while maintaining the quality of the product, without causing harm, danger, or damage.

Essential Functions

• To retrieveproduct from inventory bins and transport them to proper location as instructed by onboard computer or Management Personnel.
• Place unwrapped product on the wrapping station as needed.
• Raise or lower dock leveler as needed.
• Use orange cone system for full or empty trailers
• Use Lift Truck to transport palletized freight as needed.
• Have the Lift Truck battery changed asneeded.
• Must hand load trailers when requested by Management Personnel.
• Ensure proper product packaging is complete before placing in proper location.
• Must adhere to normal work schedule, starting and stopping times and company attendance/tardiness policy.
• Must be able to work necessary overtime

Non‑Essential Duties

• Assist in other jobs and duties as needed.
• Perform any duties you are OJT certified to do.
• Helping to keep the work area clean.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to sit on a Lift Truck for long periods of time.
• Must be able to mount/dismount lift truck 80 to 90 times per shift.
• Must be able to work in a warehouse environment.
• Must be able to physically handle up to 50 pounds multiple times per shift.
• Must be able to handle rough backing and latex‑based products

• Must be able to read and write numbers.
• Must be able to communicate clearly.
• Must have general computer knowledge.
• Must be able to write legibly.
• Must be able to perform simple mathematics.
• Must be able to use On Board Computer.

Safety/Training Requirements

• Must complete required SMS training.
• Must adhere to all corporate and facility safety rules including use of proper PPE for specific job tasks.
