Job summary

WestRock in Milpitas, CA seeks a Warehouse/Lift Truck Operator to move units, load onto machines or trucks, and ensure safe, efficient handling. Responsibilities include banding, tagging, counting, and accurate paperwork, plus unloading and quality inspection.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
  • Able to successfully complete Lift Truck Training and pass the written and driving skills test to be certified Lift Truck Operator.
  • Flexible to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift; available to work overtime.
  • Understand unitizing and palletizing information.

Responsibilities

  • Move units to warehouse and/or load units into machines or onto trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Ensure units are banded properly; have a clearly visible load tag on them when being loaded; and that there are no broken or missing straps on the units.
  • Ensure that unit and truck counts are correct and all paperwork is accurate.
  • Unload incoming material as needed and perform a visual quality inspection on items to verify that unit and truck counts are accurate.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring that unit and truck counts are correct and all paperwork is accurate
  • Unload incoming material as needed and will be responsible for performing a visual quality inspection on items to verify that unit and truck counts are accurate
  • Other duties as assigned

What You Need to Succeed:
  1. High School diploma or GED required.

The starting rate is $25.95 per hour, depending on your role, level, and location.
