Job summary

Blue Diamond Growers is hiring a Lift Truck Driver 2 to operate a forklift, move product, and stack loads in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in Salida, CO. The role requires a forklift certification, a high school diploma or GED, and physical ability to lift 50 lbs.

You will perform pre-shift checks, use barcode scanners, and assist with loading/unloading while following GMP and safety procedures. Experience in industrial lift operations is preferred.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to pass a high-stacking test.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate a lift truck moving product in a high pace environment.
• Pulling, staging, and loading product as directed by the department lead or team leader.
• Complete daily pre-shift inspection checklist for assigned lift truck.
• Set up pull-back driver loads and loading/unloading trucks.
• Utilize barcode scanning equipment while performing job duties.
• Assist team members in the event of product spillage.
• Maintain clean work area according to GMP/safety procedures; may include sweeping and debris removal.
• High-stacking is expected on a routine basis.

Job Overview

The Lift Truck Driver 2 operates a forklift and is responsible for the movement and high stacking of product as directed by supervising personnel. Following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), policies, and safety procedures will be required in every aspect of this position.

Responsibilities

Safely and efficiently operate a lift truck moving product from one location to another in a high pace environment. Pulling, staging, and loading product as directed by the department lead or team leader. Completes daily pre-shift inspection checklist for assigned lift truck. Sets up pull-back driver loads and loading/unloading trucks. Utilizes barcode scanning equipment while performing job duties. Assists team members in the event of product spillage. Keeps work area clean according to Good Manufacturing Practices and proper safety procedures, which can include sweeping, and picking up debris from warehouse floor. High-stacking is expected on a routine basis. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required by manager, supervisor/team lead, or department lead. undefined

Work Environment

This is a standard manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, hazardous materials, and heavy machinery in varying work and weather conditions. You may be required to occasionally climb stairs and/or ladders.
