Job Summary / Essential Functions

Maintaining, operating, and repairing lifts at Wasatch Peaks Ranch (WPR).

Job Duties
  • Supports all maintenance records, including daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly checks including but not limited to safety switches, push buttons, limit switches, APU runs, tension systems, grip and haul rope inspection’s, NDT work, greasing, line work etc.
  • Must be able to read and understand technical prints and manuals.
  • Plans, executes, coordinates all start‑up checks, daily checks and having a daily plan to complete weekly/monthly required tasks.
  • Must adhere to WPR ski/ride policies. This includes the responsibility code, designated trails, and ski for work purposes.
  • Carries out repairs for all operational issues including but not limited to: ski lifts, grounds maintenance, snow removal, lift repairs, vehicle repairs, building maintenance, and HVAC troubleshooting, carpentry, etc.
  • Cross training is required with this position.
  • Accurate record keeping is mandatory for all completed tasks.
  • Assists with all operations for our member/members guests as needed.
  • Coordinates and executes maintenance plans with crew members and management.
  • Instills good communication skills and a positive attitude towards members and our team.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Daytime and nighttime shifts consisting of 10 or more hours are normal.
  • Sight that allows you to see and identify all colors for coding, classifying, and emergency situations.
  • Hear and distinguish safety warnings (bells, whistles, horns, radio, etc.).
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Use two‑way radios and emergency contact options.
  • Give and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Visually inspect all areas for safety and risk.
  • Operate equipment for several hours in challenging weather conditions.
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments, learn new techniques, collaborate and share skills.
  • Retrieve, read, and interpret information from technical sources.
  • Stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, twist, turn, bend, kneel, and balance for extended amounts of time.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs frequently, 25 lbs occasionally, 10 lbs constantly.
  • This is a physical position that requires work in sub‑zero and high‑wind (50 mph+) conditions for up to 2–4 hours at a time.
  • Perform tasks at heights exceeding 100 feet using ladders, ropes, approved positioning and safety equipment.

Level 1
  • 0–5 years’ experience as a well‑rounded technician with lift repair and operations.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • High School Graduate (GED).
Level 2
  • 5 years of experience as a well‑rounded person with lift repair and operations, performing all kinds of electrical and maintenance.
  • NDT Level.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • High School Graduate (GED).
