Job summary

U.S. Water Services Corporation in Florida is seeking a Water & Wastewater Maintenance Technician to perform construction, maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of water and wastewater utility systems, equipment, lift stations, and related facilities.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with lift stations, water distribution systems, pumps, motors, piping, and electrical or mechanical work, and can work independently or as part of a team while responding to scheduled

Qualifications

• Lift station experience required.
• Water distribution systems experience preferred.
• Experience in water & wastewater utility environments.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Mechanical, electrical and plumbing aptitude beneficial.
• Experience with utility maintenance activities.
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
• Experience operating heavy equipment.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather.
• Safety-conscious and able to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Investigate utility systems and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and piping problems based on experience and instruction.
• Inspect, repair, and analyze mechanical equipment including pumps and motors.
• Assist with installation, repair, and maintenance of water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment, vehicles, and facilities.
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls as needed.
• Maintain documentation including work orders and inspection reports.
• Operate heavy equipment when trained and assigned.
• Conduct routine lift station inspections and maintenance.
