Job description

Sun Valley Resort is looking for enthusiastic and safety-focused individuals to join our Lift Operations team for the summer season. As a Summer Lift Operator, you'll be responsible for the safe loading and unloading of guests and mountain bikes on our chairlifts while providing exceptional guest service in a dynamic outdoor environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Load and unload mountain bikes for guests
• Able to work independently or in a small group to accomplish daily job-related tasks
• Complete pre-operational procedures and inspections
• Anticipate guests’ needs and provide service above and beyond guests' expectations
• Remain alert for guests improperly loading and unloading the lifts
• Assist with completing lift-closing procedures
• Work with all mountain departments respectfully to assist and resolve issues that could arise during the operations

Qualifications:

• At least 18 years old is required
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Can work outdoors in various weather elements (rain, sun, heat, cold, snow, etc.)
• Available to work weekends, holidays, and early mornings (starting at 6 a.m.)
• Ability to work through the entire summer season (June-September)
• Can safely lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
